Dr. Rosanna Coffey is a senior health services researcher and economist, with over 30 years of experience. Dr. Coffey, vice president of Truven Health Analytics, is an expert at conducting and publishing research and managing research teams. She spent 20 years at the predecessor organizations of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). At Truven Health Analytics, she has lead many projects related to support of the National Healthcare Quality and Disparity Reports. She has also designed and updated the Web-based NHQR State Snapshots, quality improvement guides for states on asthma and diabetes, and Maine Quality Forum Hospital Quality Snapshots Web site. Dr. Coffey led the National Spending Estimates Project for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. She also provided leadership in planning for medical event reporting integration across four Federal agencies and is now leading the analytical design for the Network of Patient Safety Databases, a new AHRQ undertaking. She has published reports and articles on healthcare cost, quality, health disparities, and access for vulnerable populations, data development, hospital costs and utilization, mental health and substance abuse treatment expenditures, among other policy analyses and program assessments
